I thought the film was excellent. I think the 2 main things I got from it were, mental illness effects the whole family, not just the person that has it and...things like this can happen in any family and needs to be talked about openly.

How powerful for people to see beautiful, strong women face their problems and fears and come out stronger.
I know that it will make it easier for some to ask for help the first time as well as give hope to others who are living with a mental illness.

I think Dave's part was very powerful also. I know there are lots of frustrated people trying to fix their loved ones problem so may realize that they can't fix it, but they can help their loved one to get professional help!!!

I am concerned with the comment Tani made something along these lines as I cannot remember her wording exactly "I did not take care of my depression so it turned into Bi-Polar, which is what happens when depression is not treated"
This is not true to my knowledge.

* Also, the movie only had white women. Depression can happend to people of all ethnic backgrounds, all socieconomic backgrounds and any age across the lifespan.*

It was a good start for a first movie hopefully more will come.

Thanks
